Woodmere Art Museum in Philadelphia, is housed in a 19th century stone Victorian mansion in the historic Chestnut Hill, bequeathed by a generous benefactor, Charles Knox Smith, whose desire was that the appreciation and knowledge of art in people of all ages be awakened through the museum. And to this end the mission of Woodmere Art Museum has been to inspire creativity, learning and self-expression through the arts.
